In religion God is the light. And ofcourse, Satan is the darkness.
You have an Unconscious Darkness within you, and you also have light or consciousness. Religion personified the unconsciousness or darkness as Satan. And the consciousness or light as God.
Overall the religion exploits this deep truth. The truth being we are the light and at some point we must conquer our darkness, or we will become it.
Proof: Everyday you fall into the darkness and when you do, you do not exist to your own self. This is what it will be like to be conquered by the darkness for good. This is a lesson that Life teaches us daily through our own being.
